Join Us: IJP Co-Founders to Speak at NYC Bar Association on October 21, 2011

On October 21, 2011, Wanda M. Akin and Raymond M. Brown, the co-founders of the IJP and two of only 50 American lawyers admitted to practice before the ICC, will speak at the NYC Bar Association. The program, entitled Lawyering Beyond Borders: A Window Into the Practice of International Criminal Law at the International Criminal Court and Other International Tribunals, will consist of three segments: (1) a description of the practical legal challenges facing American lawyers in international courts; (2) an analysis of the current legal issues faced by the ICC and other international courts; and (3) a detailed explanation of the representation of victims before the ICC.Attending lawyers can receive 3.0 transitional/non-transitional NY CLE credits. This event is free and will take place at the NYC Bar Association, 42 W. 44th Street, New York, NY. It will be sponsored by: Committee on African Affairs, Christina T.
