Join Collectif Urgence Darfour in Ending Impunity

By Caroline Schwartz, Legal Communications Intern

The fight to end impunity is an international struggle, and it will take action from all corners of the globe to bring those responsible, who currently remain free, to justice. Due to the current impunity situation in the international arena, President Omar al-Bashir remains free to lead a privileged life in Khartoum, despite the two arrest warrants issued for him by the International Criminal Court. The fight to end President al-Bashir’s impunity is one of the main focuses of the IJP, and we are not alone in championing for the cause.

Recently, a French organization Collectif Urgence Darfour launched its Stop Bashir campaign to spread awareness of the situation in Darfur and advocate for the end of impunity for President Omar-Al Bashir. The Paris-based organization has created two videos, which present the situation in a creative, compelling, and relatable light. In addition, Collectif Urgence Darfour has drafted a petition directed at the United Nations Secretary General Ban-Ki Moon calling for Ban-Ki Moon to act and lead the way towards the arrest of President Al-Bashir.

Check out the two videos from Collectif Urgence Darfour below.
