International Justice Day 2012

HAPPY INTERNATIONAL JUSTICE DAY!

Today, July 17, 2012, is the second annual International Justice Day, which was created on July 17, 2010. This day was chosen because it is the anniversary of the adoption of the Rome Statue, which is the treaty that led to the creation of the International Criminal Court.

Today, organizations around the world are using this day to promote awareness for international criminal justice, including to rally support for the International Criminal Court.

The International Justice Project is celebrating by continuing to fight for the rights of those who have been wronged by injustices committed internationally – we hope that all of you are doing something (no matter how small!) to celebrate International Justice Day accordingly.
