Ms. Mueller Graduated from NYU with a Masters of Science in Global Affairs this May, where she focused her studies on international law, transitional justice and human rights. Her graduate thesis, “The Value of Truth: Uncovering the Truth About the History of Abuse to Prevent Future Atrocities,” explored transitional justice mechanisms, focusing on truth commissions and the value of addressing atrocities. She received her B.A. in Political Science from Kent State University.
In the Fall of 2012, Cassandra studied abroad in Florence, Italy where she interned at the Instituto Italiano di Scienze Umane- SUM. Her time spent abroad sparked her interest in international affairs and led to her passion for human rights. During her graduate studies and thesis research she completed field research in Rwanda, Bosnia, Serbia and The Hague.
Cassandra intends to continue her travels and pursue work in the field of transitional justice and international human rights. She is dedicated to international law and respect for human rights. She is excited to be interning at the International Justice Project this summer, an organization working on issues that are important to her.
