Dear friends and supporters,
Are you concerned about the election? Wondering what it means for the rule of law and protection of vulnerable populations both here at home and abroad?
#GivingTuesday at IJP is your chance to take a stand.
There’s been a campaign and set of early appointments that reflect a new US administration committed to racism, xenophobia, homophobia, misogyny, and attacks on vulnerable populations. In short, we are likely to see an administration indifferent to human rights – an issue that has been the centerpiece of our organization’s activities since its inception.
This means that the battle against impunity abroad must begin by protecting human rights here at home. Our commitment to protect victims of genocide must now be matched with a commitment to the struggle against extrajudicial violence, attacks on vulnerable populations, and general disregard for the rule of law in the United States.
Today your gift will help support our existing programs, as well as the development of new projects aimed at protecting those under attack in the United States. Together, we can make a difference.
Thank you for your continued support and generosity,
Raymond Brown and Wanda Akin, Co-founders
